The influence of the psychoemotional state on the performance of the organs of the reproductive system has been known for a long time. The first studies in this area were carried out due to the stunning statistics collected during military operations in different parts of the world. They indicate that stress and other disorders of nervous activity in women provoke amenorrhea.

Studies have shown that in men, when a stressor occurs, the concentration of important hormones decreases, as a result of which testosterone levels are sharply reduced, and the testes take a "break". Along with psychoemotional disorders, such as prolonged stress and depression, hunger, injury, and dangerous diseases act.

It has been proven that a woman who regularly experiences prolonged stress or even is in a depressed state can be infertile with a probability of 60-90%. This condition provokes the release of glucocorticoids, these hormones reduce sexual activity and libido.

One of the phenomenal discoveries of specialists at the University of Regensburg was the inverse relationship between sexual dysfunction and brain function. More than 1000 people with disorders of the reproductive organs were examined, as a result of which it was possible to determine a tendency towards a decrease in intellectual abilities and social activity.
