The birthplace of the Love Parade is Germany. And only here every year thousands of people gather to experience a shocking fountain of emotions. This festival is not held in other countries, but it is open for everyone who wants to plunge into the authentic atmosphere of the holiday.

What is the mystery and uniqueness of this action? The thing is that the Love Parade is a celebration of those whose souls are painted with a rainbow. This is the LGBT community. The purpose of the festival is to demonstrate to the whole world that there is a reverse side of love that has a right to exist. There are non-traditional people in the world: lesbians, gays, transgender people, bisexuals.

All of these people have the right to love just like the heterosexual inhabitants of the planet. The participants in the parade can be recognized by the inscriptions on their T-shirts, which speak about their sexual orientation: “I am gay”, “I love a woman”, “I like to be gay”. Loud trance, techno or house music sounds throughout the parade.

On this day, Germany is filled with happiness, dancing, fun. A multi-million crowd of people speaking different languages has no barriers to communication. Everything is heated by waterfalls of the famous German beer. This is a real fiesta: carnival costumes and make-up on faces, enchanting show programs, charity events - all this is the Love Parade.

The procession is so powerful that the seats for spectators are on poles, trees, and fences. In a word, wherever you can climb higher in order to cover everything that happens around. Not without propaganda. And although political leaflets also come across, they mainly carry information of social significance: drug addiction, substance abuse, AIDS and ways of protecting against such phenomena and problems.

History of the appearance of the Love Parade

Unconventional orientation has always existed. Even the ancient Greeks and Romans did not see anything wrong with this and gladly gave themselves up to same-sex love. With the advent of Christianity with its morality, such relationships were banned and severely punished. This continued until July 1, 1989. It was on this day that people of rainbow color took to the streets and openly declared themselves.

It happened in Germany, and since then, this country has been the host and venue of the festival. Then there were only 150 guests at the festival. The participants tried to arrange a real carnival, but passers-by had fun not from the heart, but over the guests. They christened the participants "a miracle in feathers" and considered them complete "inadequate." But that did not stop the Parade, and it continued to gain momentum. And a year later, in 1990, the Love Parade acquired official status and was entered into the register of German holidays. Its date is July 4th.

Literally two years later, the Love Parade has already gone beyond the borders of Germany and gained worldwide fame. Representatives of sexual minorities from all over the world began to flock to Berlin every year. What the organizers of the festival are capable of is striking in its scale and scope. The main purpose of the holiday is cumming out.

The inspirers call to come out of the shadows, to declare themselves to the whole world, to make it clear to society that they have the right to be tolerant towards themselves. As a matter of fact, this does not contradict the laws of society from the point of view of both sociology and political science. Representatives of sexual minorities should have all the rights that a heterosexual member of society has.

Europe is a territory open to the LGBT community, membership here is free and does not depend on citizenship.

Heart-rainbow2

Like any community, LGBT people have their own symbols. It's a rainbow. The community flag is called the Flag of Liberty or Pride. It is painted in the colors of the rainbow in the usual order for everyone: red, orange, yellow, etc. The meaning is simple: openness and pride in one's orientation.

This symbol was invented by Gilbert Baker in 1978. Then the first gay procession took place in San Francisco. Lesbians have come up with their own symbol: the pink triangle. They did it much earlier, back in the days of Nazi Germany. But he gained popularity only in 1970.

The love parade is so popular that the end of the holiday exists only for the audience. As soon as the march stops and Germany begins to live an ordinary life full of pedantry, members of the LGBT community continue their work. Preparations begin for the next march. With the advent of the Internet, organizers were able to recruit volunteers around the world.

Reservations for hotels, hostels and apartments are terminated six months before the start of the procession. A grand marshal is selected for the festival every year. This person must have an active civil position and be absolutely tolerant of people of a different orientation. Candidates for the post of parade commander are rigorously selected and screened against a variety of criteria.

Germany gets many benefits from this procession. A large influx of tourists who do not skimp on fun are excellent support for the country's economy.

Love Parade Rival3

Anything that is world famous is the subject of envy and controversy. This happened with the Love Parade. The left-wing parties decided to organize their own Fuckparade festival. The purpose of this march is to protest the monetization of the Love Parade. Simply put, they wanted to eliminate the commercial component of the Love Parade.

The Berlin authorities tried to ban this organization, but more than loyal Germany gave the go-ahead and secured the right to exist for this festival. So, before you go to the holiday, you need to clarify and check the dates of the event so as not to get to the alternative show.

Welcome4

Interestingly, the holiday is open to absolutely everyone. It has no hard limits. Unlike heterosexual moralphages, the Love Parade will gladly meet any spectator.
