According to the 2016 US National Health and Nutrition Survey, men consume an average of 57% more meat and meat products than women. That is, for every five servings of meat a woman eats, the guy next to her eats eight. Taken together, this leads to a huge difference between male and female nutrition. But, this leads to a difference between health indicators, scientists say.

The meat is actually not so good for you dear men. Yes, it is an important source of protein. Yes, it provides you with many amino acids. Yes, it builds muscle and bone. But, it is important for the nutrition of children and people over 70 years old. However, if you are not a child or retired, there are many disadvantages to this type of food.

Research confirms that meat lovers are more likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease, colon cancer and type 2 diabetes. And it is these problems that men are more susceptible to. Moreover, courageous meat-eaters are not so good in bed. And the fault is the toxins that remain in the body when overeating meat products, especially at night. The irony, as noted by Carol J. Adams, author of Sexual Meat Politics, is that external masculinity turns into potency problems.

So why is meat still in men's diets? “The problem is mentality and upbringing,” says Adams. "And in public opinion, which needs to be actively changed."
